I got banned from the other monster forum
As some of you may know already, my wife got a Monster, and of course what do I do.... find a Monster forum. Well I found 2, and have been checking them both out to see witch one I like best.
Well apparently I've been banned from the other forum, I'm sure I don't have to tell you wich one that is, cause they sure know about this one. And they like to clown on it.... a lot.
So that was kinda turning me off, but then this morning I try and log on, and I've been banned for the next 48 hrs. No explenation, just banned.
I can't for the life of me figure out why. So it looks like this is my new forum home.
I just thought, maybe it's because I ride an R1. Are ya'll okay with that. I do like riding the Monster, but it's my wifes, so I don't get to ride it much, unless it's to work.

I am member of both, no issues over the past several years. Keeping things on topic helps, IMHO.

My clutch on the R1 went out a week and a half ago, and I'm really starting to like the monster.
Althought the forks kinda suck, I can't adjust them, or even rebuild them with better springs.

I believe that the forks are meant to be for the average Italian male rider(160-170lbs).The avg us male weight is around 190lbs. I weigh about 200-215 with all my gear and a full backpack.
Yea the forks kinda suck.
Hopefully my next mod will be adj forks. You can use any Ducati ST forks or SBK forks as long as they have the same brake caliper spacing.Probably perfectly set up for your wife already though.

I rode a few diff bikes... 2 monsters, 1 r6, 1 daytona 675 and the sc1000. R6 was definitely the best handling but I enjoy riding the monster the most!

How did you like the Daytona? I've been wanting one so bad for a while now. I've always been on liter bikes, but I'm really starting to like the lighter bikes over the more powerfull ones.

Daytona was great... I actually always wanted one, more so than the R6, actually to be honest I really wanted a 848 but if I couldn't get that, the D675 was next. The D675 is definitely better for local riding because you have that much more midrange torque or at least it felt that way. No need to change gearing at all... it was perfect as is.
