Default MSF Question

A question for those who have done the MSF course.

I signed up and paid to do the course at our local Harley Davidson dealer about 8 weeks ago, and was meant to do it this week-end. I called them last tuesday to tell them I would need to miss the two hours on saturday morning and should I reschedule. They said no just show up on friday night and the instructor will work with me.
Well, I showed up on friday night on and spoke with the instructor. He was very short with me and basically told me to leave and quit wasting his time.

Wow, zero customer service from this crusty guy.
I have owned three bikes with about 5 years of riding time so I know the basics of riding, I just wanted to take the course as everybody says it is so good.

I understand you can't miss one second of the class, but do you think he could have done the first hour with me on friday night or maybe after the class on saturday.?

I guess showing up my M750 Ducati might have insulted them.

I don't think your experience speaks for the MSF organization as a whole.

Probaly had a pissy guy.

And I guarantee you he didn't give two shits about your bike.

Sorry to hear about your experience. I also took mine at a Harley dealer, basically because they use a Buell Blast instead of a Honda Rebel like most of the MSF courses around here. When I scheduled, the program manager made it quite clear that you could not miss any of the courses. It was a great experience and the instructors were outstanding. In any case, I hope that you got to take the course. I had not ridden in a number of years and thought it prudent to take the course. Sure glad that I did. Would like to take one of the MSF Advanced Rider Courses now.

I have spoken with some other riders here in town and come to find out that our harley dealer has a bit of an attitude. Sad that it has to be that way as riding should be fun on what ever bike you are on.
I still have not taken the course and hope to do it soon, just not at the dealership.
