i'd like to solve one of my dreams next october:

miami-los angeles with a motorbike

here in italy i'm finding problems to get informations

i know that there are some companies that rent you a bike for example in miami and you give back the bike for example in los angeles,can anyone help me???the best would be a monster ,or an harley to introduce me better in the us atmosphere :-)

One suggestion is to buy a used motorcycle and sell it on the other end; a bit more work; be carefull not to be ripped off in the initial purchase and get a good bike checked out by a reputable ducati or harly dealership; then sell on the other end; try craigslist.org; ebay and this and dicatimonstorforum.org for good, well maintained used bikes.

Best of luck; I'd like to do something similar; I've traveld all over the world and one of my favorite countries is Italy; good food; wine and countryside; Lago De Como; SanGiminganio and Villa Deste ... to name a few ... and nutchoni gilati at the Chinque Terra .... "muto bonito". I'de like to ship my M800 to Italy and ride the countryside; but the city driving must be crazy! as would be in the america also, do be cautious in the cities.

thanks a lot for your advices,i'm still planning the "short trip",i think it will need still a month for organization...do you think it's better route 66 or miami los angeles in october??i don't want to find cold and water..then..how much time do i need usually in usa to buy and sell a bike?prices?here in italy when you buy or sell a bike it's very expensive...can i do it if i've not the usa passport??

I live in Flagstaff Az, In oct. you will see some rain maybe snow the nights will get cold but we are at 7000 ft and the weather changes fast in any dirrection you go.
