I'm Dan from Calgary Alberta Canada. New to Ducati but not to bikes, I've owned many liter bikes over the last few years and just picked up a 07 695 from a auction without keys of course (and no I didn't steal it). Didn't realize getting keys would be such a hassle! I love bike forums for the wealth of info from equally obessed people! Cheers

Hi there DMLers,
I go by Donzo and I've been lurking in this site for over a year now reading, learning, yearning for an S2R 800 Dark. Man, there are some bad-ass bikes on this site.
I live in Toronto CANADA, in Parkdale off of Roncy if anybody knows the neighbourhood. I've seen a number of Monsters riding around and I look at them with pure envy. I grew up riding but haven't had a bike since I moved back to Canada from Florida where I lived for three years. My wife hadn't known me when I had a bike, so she just doesn't understand the passion.
I started on a little Honda 80 as a kid and when my feet could touch the ground, my dad let me ride his '83 Honda Shadow 750 in the mall parking lot. I rode that bike for a while when he on his Goldwing. In Florida I rode a '90 Harley Sportster Low. That was fun riding the beaches with no helmet and a mean roar from the pipes.
I pretty much got into Ducatis when I discovered this site and discovered how dedicated you all are without the typical image that Harley riders have. Ducati owners have a bit of panache, a style that is its own. The Monster is so customizable, it's not just a ride, it's a reflection of the owner's self image. So, I want one. I've haven't been able to pull the trigger yet, but will very soon. I'm actually trying to buy a sargent seat now without having the bike first. I'm hoping to gain some technical knowledge of the bike and to gain a sense of commaraderie from all here, as well as get some ideas on what kind of mods I want to do once I buy the machine. So cheers people, happy riding.
Donzo

Hi - I'm Matt. My brother posts here (Green Bastard) and suggested I stop in. I'm pretty new to riding and have a long term loaner on my brother's bike (02 Monster 800). I was hoping to network a bit here and meet locals to shoot the shit, get together for beers and wrenching, go out on rides in the Akron, Ohio area.
Here's the bike:

Rookie introduction
Hey guys, I'm Jamison, I've been cruzing around this site giving very little responses for a few years now, but wanted to step up to the plate and formally introduce myself. I ride a black 94 M900, that I bought a few years ago. its always been my dream to own a ducati and i finally found one, one day in this tiny shop. it had no stickers on it and no one there knew anything about it, or whoses it was. make a long story short, it was the owners bike, it had 3500 miles on it and i bought it for 4500..
anyways, I'm living up in northern NH in Plymouth and would like to meet up with other monster owners around here for rides, hang out or get some drinks..

Hello all, my name is Tom Rex...I feel like I'm in an AA meeting or something! Just kiddin. I just bought an 02 Monster 750 IE - waiting for the shipping truck to show up in my driveway! I've had two bikes prior - an 82 Honda 450 Nighthawk and a Kawasaki ZL900 eliminator. I've always loved the look of the monsters, and a deal fell into my lap! I live in Manhattan, IL which is 10 miles south of Joliet. I'm a member of many different forums, it's always good to meet people with the same interests, gain knowledge about what you're riding, and be able to lend a hand to other people that may need it. It's great to be here...I'm sure you won't get me to shut up once I get this bike.

Hi Folks,
Spike here from the sunny county of Shropshire, England.
I have just picked up a 2001 S4 in Senna grey with red wheels, it's in great condition for the year.
Previously I have owned a 748 Bip, ST4s and a 1000Multistrada. The Monster is the latest addition to my stable and is a brilliant bike.
Over here in the 2002 British Superbike series, Ducati UK sold 26 S4 bikes to customers to race within the series to show what Ducati could do with a liquid cooled lump in a naked frame. GSE Racing looked after the bikes maintenance.
My bike is #22 of that series.......

Hello everybody.
Im Garrett. I live on the Panhandle of Florida, in Mary Esther (a little town in between Pensacola and Panama City). I resantly bought a 2009 Monster 696. I love it and I have riden it every day since I bought it. I am slowly learning more and more about the Bike world. Well hopefully there are some more people in my area on Ducati's and I hope to see you around if you are.
Cheers

I HAD to get one and Just got my first bike last week. A 2007 695 Dark. I LOVE IT!!! I ride it everyday and cant get enough. I'd love to meet some Duc riders in my area.

Hi. My name is Shawn, I live in Hudson WI. My bike is a 2001 Monster S4. I have had only Jap bikes up to now. I've always liked Monsters, and decided to make a move just last week, bought it from a guy just outside of Hudson. Other than the general knowledge prevalent in various magazines, I know nothing of the particulars. I hope to get my brain filled here.
