Hey guys and gals,

My name is Mark, I live in Santa Barbara California. Just test-rode a Monster S2R 1000 that has me hooked! I'm planning on picking up a Monster ASAP, possibly the S2R I rode.

Hey everyone,

My name is Shaheed. I am a Canadian currently living in Kyoto, Japan. I joined this forum because I am interested in purchasing my first Ducati. The bike I'm interested in is a 2006 Monster S4RS with some nice custom parts.

I currently ride a Kawasaki Ninja ZX9R. It has a beautiful Nassert pipe and sweet mods. I went into my local bike shop in Kyoto thinking about upgrading to something interesting as I've had this bike for about 7 years. The REPSOL was interesting and the new 10Rs were tantalizing but there was this kinda RETRO bike in the corner with no price on it. The more I looked at it, the beautiful it became. When I saw the Ducati label on it, I immediately turned off thinking this is GONNA BE WAY TO MUCH.

I looked around some more and went back upstairs thinking I'll come back another day. On the way out the owner of the shop recognized me and made some small talk. I thought I'd return the courtesy and asked about the Duc. He smiled and told me that I knew my bikes. He then started telling me about the bike. I left the store very confused and intrigued.

I went home that night and googled the S4RS. I found this forum and many other sites. I realized that I might have found a diamond in the rough. Was it fate .... who knows.

I went back a few days later and asked to take her out. They hummed and hawed for a few secs and said that I'd have to leave my 9R as collateral and if I broke anything, I'd have to pay for it. I immediately agreed and started her up. The sound blew me away. My 9R sounded like a pussy next to the S4RS. Don't tell the salesman, but it was sold (in my heart) at that moment. Driving it was scaaaaaaaaaaaaaary. I couldn't even predict the power. I didn't push it but I did respect it a lot more.

Anyway, I haven't bought the bike yet but will make an offer on Friday. If that goes through, I will own my first Ducati.....my first MONSTER!!!

If anyone has any advice for me within the next day or so, I'd really appreciate it.

s.

Hey guys!

I'm Jake, I have a 2011 M696. I've been riding for about 10 years - about 5 of those being on the road.

Doucette is my first Ducati, as well as my first brand new bike. She's definitely an amazing creature, and I'm learning more about her every day.

I'm a Marine stationed on Oahu currently - I'll be here until 2013.

I'm interested in everything at this point - groups, rides, activities, upgrades, etc. - just trying to take it all in

Hello, My name is Jai. I have a 2007 M695. I used to ride a lot in India and haven't done that much in the past 10yrs in US. Just trying to get back on the road with the 695 i got as gift from my friend.

But unfortunately the bike has some work that needs to be done before its ready to ride ( New Instrument Cluster, Top triple clamp replacement.. and some other minor things). Hopefully I will be able to get it on the road before it starts raining here (Portland, OR).

My name is Sean, I don't currently own a Ducati Monster, but I have just built a 1978 Honda CB550K3 Cafe Racer that I have built from scratch. My next bike will be a Monster probably a 900.

I will post some pictures of my bike when I get around to it.
