My name is Nick

I recently purchased, now own, and absolutely love my ducati monster 696. Its the first motorcycle I have owned, though I have ridden others. I am officially addicted to Ducati motorcycles.

I am from Maine, but I am currently in Germany with the US Army. Can anyone say Autobahn???

I want to learn from others and share my experiences as I gain them.

Does anyone know a cure for wanting to spend lots of money on my motorcycle, as well as wanting to buy all of the other Ducati motorcycles I see??

David here.

Picked up my Monster 1100 last week. Love it. Already trying to convince the wife I need to sell the R1 for StreetFighter or a 1098...

I've posted a couple time but I don't think I've ever introduced myself so here goes:

I'm Mike and I live in Santa Cruz, CA. I bought a 2001 M900 ie about 2 years ago and have put about 10,000 mi on her. I come on here occasionally to look for tips on trouble shooting problems (which I haven't had many of), drool over aftermarket parts people talk about, and to occasionally check the Parts for Sale section.

I have been wanting an air-cooled Duck forever!
Picked up the bike today.
Doh! Looks like I didn't read up on the red key, black key BS. Now I have a bike and one black key and the key card!

Default New 696

I'm Al and I never want to recover from Ducati addiction.
I've wanted a monster since I saw my first one in 1992. I bought one this week:a red 696. It is pure fun. Got the CF pipes and pulled out the db killers, I LOVE that growl. Next, the fender eliminator. after that, rearsets, because the only thing I don't like about the bike are those huge metal foot pegs for the passenger I won't be giving a ride to...then maybe bar-end mirrors....will it ever end? I hope not.

Then, the wife can inherit it and I'll get the streetfighter.
