Hi came across your board while surfing. There is a good one in the UK, I sometimes post to as well. I am in Melbourne, Australia and own a 02 S4, bought new in Dec 02. Fitted high rise oval carbon Sil Motors after 17Km, could not stand the strangled sound of originals - what's a Duc without that rumble.
Love the bike, love how it goes, looks and sounds. Ride about 300Km of twisties on Sundays.

hi I'm Jeremiah ( I go by fogdog, online) I'm 23 and work for the prison system. I just got my 02 620 dark and love it, this is my first bike, now I don't have to borow my freinds extra. I joined the DML so I could find people who live near my to ride with, as of right now I have to run with rice rockets or cruzers, but I don't mind. I'm from North Carolina but somehow I found myself in california city CA, by way of Minn. Any help you couyld give the "new guy" on mods and other things would be greatly appreciated

Hmph. Been lurking here for a month or two now, finally registered, and had been planning to keep lurking until I took the plunge and actually bought a bike. :-/

Well, what the heck.

Name: Chad, tho I've gone by the handle of "Flatline" or "Flathead" for 10 years now.
Place: Louisville, KY (seems there are several of us...cool, riding partners!)
Bike: None, aside from the dirt bike I had as a kid :-[
Future Bike: 620 ie Dark (silver, I think)

Born and raised in Virginia (Go Hoos!), spent a few years in Des Moines, now about halfway between in bourbon-and-horseland. I've always been into cruisers; I didn't know Ducatis existed until about 1994 when I saw the Cycle World Buyer's Guide, which showed the Monster and had a review of the 916. Since then I've always thought Monsters were cool bikes, and over the past year or so I've gradually shifted in thought away from HD's and so forth.

Lurking on this newsgroup has helped convince me (OK, or confirmed my previous lust) that a 620 would be great for me. Really, I've already gained a lot from just keeping my yap shut and listening. This is a great group, and I'm happy to share in the as-yet-unfulfilled obsession.

OK, Lurk mode back: ON

Hi Ya'll!

I'm just your average squidess with a couple of bikes. My latest purchase is an S4. I live in SF and commute across the city between the Mission and the Presidio. I've been surfing the board and have already found lots of great info. I'll probably through a question or two now and then at the tech and gear sections (nice format by the way). Mostly I lurk and minimize my .02

cya round the board!

Seven

Oh go on then.

Paranoid here or just Dave if you know me, PD if you can'r be bothered to type it all out. If you've been on the UKMOC site then you'll probably have seen a few of my posts. Have lurked around here for a while though. Good site.
I'm 28 UK born and still here, own a 99 model M600 with more mods than I can remember.
Hand made screen, twin headlights, led rear lights, 916 fender, cut rear hugger, one off eyeball engineering exhaust system (similar to S4r), belly pan, carbon intakes, DP cafe monster tank, one off custom solo seat, hand made cafe tail, major tail chop, ally undertray, etc.
There's a pic on the gallery on www.ukmonster.co... my bikes called kylie, shouldn't be hard to spot.
Love the bike, love mods gallore, individual is best and there's no better bike for it.
Happy riding. ;D

Brian DeCello from Pgh, Pa. I have a 750 Monster Dark that I bought new in Jan 99.
It has the Factory carb kit, K&N filter, Pro-Italia tail kit, Leo Vinci low mount slip ons, Dyna coils, Fren Tubo kevlar lines, Third Eye bar end mirrors, Corbin leather seat. The bike came with single front disk, and I added second, along with swapping out master cyl for Brembo remote style. Also swapped clutch master cyl for remote style.
Most of these ideas came from reading your posts here. This is what's great about the site. Thanks.

Hi. My name is Mike Most and I have noticed that there are not enough New Yorkers introducing themselves so I thought I would. I live in Manhattan and I am currently in the market for a late model used 750 or preferably 900cc Monster. I owned a 1995 EX 500 for about three years before I sold it ( that was five years ago) and now I am getting back into motorcycling. I saw the monsters in a Ducati showroom in Milan Italy and fell in love. I f anyone knows a nice late model for sale in the greater NY area please let me know. Thanks. Nice to meet you'al. Mike

Alright, I'll turn off my lurk mode for a bit too and introduce myself. Name's DJ, or Don, depending on which side of the family you talk to. I've been addicted to Ducati's for a few years now, primarily the Monster after meeting the owner of an M900 dark at a local restaurant a few years ago (Cafe Veloce!). If luck shines down on me next month, I'll be able to scrap together enough dough for my dream bike, m900S4, or possibly the 04 S4R?

This really is a great board. I've learned a ton from the poeple here and by following the links to other Duc sites dropped here.

Location: Redmond, WA
Status: Married, 1 3yo boy (who is crazy about anything with two wheels), 2 cats and an oooooold XR200...
