Sounds like a nice car your friend has! Mark Anderson is still racing the white GTS. But its now too old for the Speed GT series (what you saw on TV) so he races Porsche Club and maybe SCCA.

The 928s had it all along from '77-95. The handling and mechanical grip are phenomenal in the 928. Its nearly impossible to break the rear end. The rear wheel steering effect from the Weissach axle design is outstanding. You can hear tires howling in the video. Back then I had Toyo Proxes mounted and they were noisy as all hell. I've got BF Goodrich G-Force Sports on the car now and the grip and handling is light years ahead of the Toyos. And they're quiet!!
