80s Honda 250 rebel?

Ok so Ive got this Honda 250 rebel that runs great, picking it up for 40$ because I can... What should I do with it? Chop it? Cafe Racer? Drive it off a cliff

Im leaning towrds welding up a lightweight norton-style type frame, clipons, rearsets, straight pipes, the works. Im a fairly experianced TIG-welder and have all my own equipment to mess with it.

for thoes of you who dont know what an old 250 rebel looks like:

I have thought about doing something with those before, but ht eproblem is that they are built like a cruiser, so anything cafe-like is going to take some major redoing. Maybe a mini hardtail rat chopper would be cool? Pullback bars, small steel struts to replace the rear shocks, flat black with red wheels?

I like that, only problem being I already built a chopper Im thinking something along the lines of messing with the subframe and raising it :

If you can figure out a way to lower tha head tube and get some shorter forks you might have something, but that's a lot of effort.

Sorry pyschochild-I've done my research and I'm afraid there are no mods that can be done to this bike whatsoever. In fact, they were only made to burn gas up until 1998 or so, so it's never going to run again. But, because I feel bad that you bought it, i'll help you out and give you your money back and take it off your hands....

Seriously-love the bike-there's a ton you can do with it. I want it.
