Windscreen?

Riding a 2014 monster 1200, need a windscreen for highway riding and when it gets cold. Suggestions?

Hahahaha

For the wind, I got this one: http://www.monsterparts.com/pc/5650/...eens/5650.html
But you are still going to have some draft.

And for the cold the exhaust should keep your butt and your legs toasty but if it is really cold where you ride you might want to invest in a heated vest or heated grips, or a Honda Goldwing.

I just got one of these today and it did enough to be helpful on my 2015 monster 821 stripe for my 35 mile 3 am ride home from work. I clipped it to the tiny fairing that comes on the stripe model, but if you don't have the fairing it won't work.

this is more specific to your bike

I use this on my 821 when going on longer trips - Givi A660 Universal:

It doesn't look that great on the bike, but works well for me for it's intended purpose.

I'm looking for a windscreen that I can quickly install for touring and remove when done. I'm thinking about these two from Puig, but can't find any pics or comments on how it works on a Monster 821. My thoughts are, all options are going to be ugly so I might as well embrace it and just get one that makes the ride most comfortable. With that, I'm leaning toward the universal touring windscreen.

I have a long ride coming up in a couple weeks. I'll use it for that, then remove it and store it for the next ride. Thoughts?

The reason I went with the Givi was that I read about some folks who didn't like the Puig screens at all and returned or eventually got rid of them (granted, there's not too much info on the Givi). YMMV

How do you like the Givi? I read comments that there is a sticker saying not to exceed 60mph. I like the looks (although still ugly on a Monster) of the Givi better than the Puig. My main desire is to reduce fatigue on my neck while touring. I upgraded my helmet (Shoei RF1200), and it helped a little bit, but still a major problem after a couple hours of high speed freeway riding. I'm 6' tall and i'm happy to get into a tuck to rest my neck a bit behind a screen.

Thanks all for reviving this thread. Looking forward to seeing what ends up happening. Not a lot of pics out there showing Ducs with the various brands of windscreens, they're usually shown on an R6. Any thoughts about the Zero Gravity sport touring?

I wave to everyone on two wheels (unless it's a car).
