I really want to go. I have a free place to stay in Durango, Co just down the road from Ouray and was thinking of making it a 2+ week trip. I have the week before the DitR weekend off and might be able to get the week after off as well. I'm not going 2400 miles alone though.

Ha! I was going to post something similar to Nate's post last night....

There's some nasty shit going down on the colorado board and Nate doesn't care to deal with it in person. It's bad enough having to deal with it remotely.

I have a Ducati in the Rockies T-shirt from last year's event even though I couldn't go. That is a seriously beautiful place (I've raced road bicycles from Durango to Silverton) and it really sucks that a few people have fucked this up.

The original DitR organizer, Tanya, has been driven out by these people. If I won't see Tanya there, I have no reason to go!

So I'm sorry to say that Nate has reason for the bad vibe. >

yeh, i get all that.

but there will almost certainly be members from other states / local boards there as well. it would be a shame if the very cool meet that "T" got started became nothing more than a local get together just because of a couple of wankers who need to mature...

also, i've met several members from that area. good folks all around.
