Default Friendly Automotive Paint supplier

Hey guys. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good shop to buy paint supplies from. I split my time between Somerville, and the the Lowell/Billerica area.

I say friendly cause I know a lot of guys in this industry are grump old men that smoke butts in their shop even though Mass. outlawed it like 3 years ago. I am a newcomer, looking to paint some various things, and if all goes well I want to paint things like CF, rims, and my swingarm. So I just want to be able to go to a place and get good knowledge on the various cleaners, solvents, and mix ratios of paint to hardener to pearl etc...

thasnks.

Gee....

It sounds like you're describing me. :-\

If you won't hold my cigarette habit and age/demeanor against me I think I could help you out.

It's not rocket science.

I have nothing against those guys, or smoking. I just dont like it when I ask someone a question and they get ticked off. This has been with those oldschool autoparts stores like NAPA. Although I had my Monte Carlo painted and the dude embedded cigarette ash onto my trunk cause he was smoking and painting at the same time and since I didn't notice it for a week he refused to fix it.

A word in support of DP:

He's always been about the kindest and most available NEMHA'er on the board. I bet you'd find him to be pretty agreeable in person, too.

I haven't done any work with him - but I've kept my plastic/CF looking good enough, so no need just as of yet - but I wouldn't hesitate, if I needed anything done...
