I would consider selling my 250 scrambler for $1,000. Engine is free and spinning. The bike is about 96% there and original. For a little more I'll toss in some Benelli bits to change it into a neat road racer, ie: high shoulder alloy rims and a big old curvy tank.

Austin TX. No title. Bike is rough but not hopeless. It will be at least a year before I get whack at it, unfortunate because there are a lot of 250 owners in the area willing to help me, just time, work, money etc. get in the way.

Well at least yo don't need a boat, that's really far. I'd be willing to deliver to a Forward Air terminal either strapped to a pallet or you can rent one of their small motorcycle containers. There is a depot in Austin. I've used them several times.

From what Ebay tells me, people are asking about $12k for a professionally restored example in either road worthy scrambler trim or as a little road racer. The going price seems to be between $6-10,000. I'd think $5k would be a very conservative number. I was willing to shell out $7k on one last year but he wouldn't budge from his $10,500 asking price. What you are really buying is a bevel drive single. The engine is worth a mint once restored and polished. I've heard of people asking $4k just for a nice engine. Pieces and parted on Ebay would probably double my price. I saw a lower end, minus jug and head, sell for $1,100.
