Default Road Bikes--the pedal kind

My man is going to buy me my first road bike for graduation. We looked at the Trek WSD 1.2 and 2.1. Both looked nice to me. The Specialized looked too frufru for my taste. He would like to spend less that a grand. I will be going to try out and get properly fit on the Treks next week. Any other good contenders that we maybe overlooking; Felt or LeMond, etc?

Please comment, esp. Msincredible.

Thanks

You guys crack me up!!

My man's son just got his Carbon Orbea Onix last week. Looks real nice and is soooo light. He loves it. Not sure I will ever need that technical of a bike.

Thumbs up

Get a used Klein (or other made-in-USA frame) and hang Campagnolo componentry on it.

You won't be sorry. I still adore my Quantum Pro; we've been together eight years now.

Wink

I have a LeMond and I love it. My motto in all purchases: get the prettiest one you can afford.
