any ladies in santa monica?

I'm new to riding. got a 620 in September and have put about 800 miles on it but mostly on PCH and scared of the canyons still. So it would be great to ride with someone with a little more estrogen who doesn't think I'm chicken... or at least remembers when she was and has patience.

btw, I live on Broadway and I see someone on probably a 620/695 with a red tank and frame and I always wave... from my porch. [cheeky]

Welcome to the DML and to riding! [thumbsup] Although I live up in Ventura area, I work in West LA and ride the bike in to work when it's warm enough. Would be great to meet up with you and ride on a weekend. IBN II is a good opportunity to meet up with other local riders too. Let me know if you want to head out for a ride sometime. 8)

wow! that's quite a commute. I bought my bike from a guy who commuted on it from Long Beach to Van Nuys. But Ventura's gorgeous. I considered moving there when I was looking to buy a place a few years ago...

Would love to ride on a weekend!!

Guess I should check out the IBN... haven't even ridden at night :-[

Don't be too impressed, I don't do the commute on the bike very often! I like to save it for fun runs on weekends most of the time, and Wednesdays cause that's when IBN II happens.

Just let me know when you are up for a weekend scoot. I prefer warmer weather, but I really should appreciate this chill so I can try out my new electric jacket liner. 8)

Riding at night when it's not super cold is nice because you don't have the sun in your eyes to contend with and there is usually less traffic. It gets a little tricky on the PCH because up towards Mugu there are no street lights and you don't want to be missing your mark on those curves or you'll be swimming!
