uh-oh...you've got me started on the wedding! You have no idea what you've just gotten yourself into. [laugh]
We rented out a little B&B in mid July in wine country (sonoma) for about 80-90 people. The venue was key for us. We didn't want to have to deal with driving all over the place and wanted a location with natural beauty so we didn't have to go wild with decorations and flowers. The ceremony will be simple and informal and we've spent most of our time and money on the catering. Enzo (on the DML) and I will have been together 12+ years by the time we're married next year, so we just wanted to throw a big party to formally introduce the families and party it up with our friends. We're observing some of the traditional aspects of a wedding, but it's not a wedding with a capital "w" ya know? I'm actually having a lot of fun planning all of this myself (with hubby-to-be's help of course) and so far it's been really manageable. We've had some snags with the invite list and who's staying where and all that jazz, but you move on... I've given in on a lot of stuff, and it just doesn't matter. It's one day in my life----there will be more...days, that is, not weddings!

(oh, and prepare to blow through that budget!) [laugh]
