Default Ducati themed wedding

My partner and I are getting married next summer and would like to have a Ducati themed wedding. Anyone out there ever held/attended one? Where are some places to look for decorations, etc. We have already found a Ducati cake topper. A google search didn't produce many results.

Are red and white your colors? That could be a start...

I've also seen Ducati panties, but that's probably more of a honeymoon thing. [cheeky]

what kinda stuff would you want?
i'm sure the florist could work some
things out with patches on ribbons
and stuff like that... what else might
make the day "say these people love
each other and love ducati"?

maybe little monster model bikes
could be part of the favors...

Thanks ladies for the ideas. I guess I'm just having trouble trying to figure out how to express our passion for our "kids" without it being too cliche. We are going to have a small elegant nontraditional wedding and reception at a local vineyard and I don't want it scream "Ducati" just have some subtle hints. Guess I just need to keeping it stewing in my head longer.

We are going to the Indy MotoGP for our honeymoon. I can't wait.

I was at a trackday at Laguna Seca, and right after the last session a couple got married on the Corkscrew. That was pretty cool. 8)

How about :
- change his tie tack to a ducati pin, so it shows in the pictures. you can also get ducati patches and baste them on a lapel or shirt collar.
- look for ducati key chain, watch fob, or small ducati emblem that can be wired into your bridal bouquet (or his corsage). Heck, even those card holders that florists put in delivered flowers could work with the right object.
- if the colors are red and white, red table cloths, white runners and a checkerd flag 2" ribbon (found at sewing stores) down the center of the runner. The theme could be adapted to ribbons for the table flowers.
- instead of a gauntlet or wedding gloves, what about riding gloves?
- Hey! Really out there - but what if we donated old helmets to drag behind the "just married" car? I'm laughing cause it would be a scream to see - but not sure I have the you-know-whats to actually do it!!!
- Maybe even some photos of the two of you and the 'kids' at each table. Nothing fancy, digital camera and print on nice paper (which would keep it in budget). Could add other pictures if it's too much ducati (is there such a thing???).

Keep us posted. Post what you're liking, and as a group, I'm sure we can brainstorm some really cool ideas!

Hey,

Lauramonster, I really like the old helmet idea... ;D Yes, I could pull it off!!!

I also thought of putting ducati keyfobs in the flowers. I even suggested to my hubbie-to-be that I sew my Desmo Owner's club patch on my dress. I was thinking of the red Ducati MotoGP service shirt for my nephew, the ringbearer, to wear.

Keep the great ideas coming!! Nothing is too far fetched. [thumbsup]

-Use the font on the invitations and favors.
-ducati chocolates or toys in the favors
-use old helmets to hold flower arrangements for the centerpieces(I'd spray paint them all one color)

Come on let's have some fun!!! Print labels with ducatis and put the labels on drinks 9or just the bottles of alcohol that the bartenders are mixing with) called :
ducatini
desmos drunkos
Monster mash (bourbon of course - husband's favorite)
name drinks after your favorite turns or roads
The High Side - it'll really knock you off the bike!!!
Low side - same thing made with less alcohol
Ducati coasters
A bottle of wine for everybody with a picture of you leaning waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay over on the label!
Just for $hit$ and giggles, have Ducati mechanic renew your vows (at the reception) using Ducati jargon - Do you promise to bring in for maintenance every 5000 miles, lovingly change her plugs, listen to her dry clutch in sickness or health, in sunshine or rain....
