ok, thanks for the info. For sake of being able to return the S2R back to boring (read:stock), i am going to machine the axle.

RBX, are you planning to use the stock S2R brake line? it looks like it would work great if you're using the stock master cyl. I'm planning to use the gixxer master cyl, so the stock brake line doesn't fit very well. I have a spare brake line from a superbike and it doesn't fit either, which means Ruben is probably out of luck too. Might have to go the custom route like Terrapete did.

b.h.,
i am using the stock master and line. i haven't hooked it up yet to see if it works, but everything seems to b checking out. Funny but i was going to try and fine a used master cylinder, in hopes i could just reuse the line. Why wouldn't that work, or, what did you discover? are the line ends different?
RBx

Side note... i think i am going to get a few stickers made for my new (to me) forks...'fOhlins', ok, i was drinking with some friends last night.....to me it still seems funny though.

It looks like the stock line (S2R) will work with the calipers, and the stock master cylinder. I believe it will also work with a Goldline master. but the angle of the port on the gixxer master is different because it's radial. basically, the stock line has a 90 degree bend on the end. the gixxer line is straight.

to sum it up for the different brake line fittings:

Master Cylinder End

Gixxer = straight
S2R = 90 deg
SBK or S4 (goldline) = 90 deg

Caliper End

Gixxer = straight
S2R = straight
SBK or S4 (goldline) = 90 deg

Could someone please measure the clearance from fender to tire? I didn't take this measurement before i stripped her of the stock front end.
I am in the process of fitting the fender while i am waiting fro the spacers, [cough] and will need to make a bracket. Which i will then draw up in CAD and make it available as well.

darcstar82, pm me i can give you the info. as for machining the spacers for the masses, Zatoichi931 beat you to it.
