I'm from Columbus and used to work near there. That's not a great area for a dlrship. It's semi shady. Most of the wealth in Columbus is NW/NE ie Dublin, Muirfield, Worthington, New Albany, etc. Also Upper Arlington, Bexley. But the other two dlrs there have those areas covered.

Wow, 3 dealers in a 1.7 million MSA population area (Columbus, OH)!* Nashville is at 1.4 million MSA population with 1 Duc dealer.

hmm looks like the one in Hilliard is no more. It wasn't a Duc only shop, they also sold Japenese brands. Hind's is the other dlr and they are also a huge multi line dlr.* I'm sure the rent is cheap in Whitehall though (where Duc Columbus is).

they may not have a big population on paper, but it's pretty white collar. I bought both my BMWs from this dlr: http://www.magcars.com/ they have an impresive list of brands carried.

IIRC, it costs an extra $2500 to have one of the racers show up. That's on top of the costs to have the "big truck" come and have the demo fleet. It's all ala carte.

Maybe they figure that any of us in Nashville that want to meet the racers probably will at Barber anyway. ;D

So, Columbus has 2 Duc dealers now - that makes more sense. Somehow I thought Columbus was a LOT bigger than Nashville. I guess rust belt cities are stagnating while the sunbelt keeps growing. Did you know that Nashville went past New Orleans in the 2000 population census?
