Hello from America's Dairyland...
Hello fellow MCMers and DMLers. Its been a little while since I've been on here or riding even. As some of you already know (Harry and Erik) I took a new job in Oshkosh, WI and am now living in "America's Dairyland". Incidentally, I think I am required to be a Packers fan now as well. They can't be as bad as the Lions.
Anyway, just wanted to let you guys know why I haven't been around lately. Take care.
Ryan

Re: Hello from America's Dairyland...
Lots of bikes out here...
Nobody wears gear though, its kind of weird. There are all kinds of guys in shorts and tank tops and sandals or tennis shoes and no helmets.
I've only seen one other Ducati here it was either 749/999 (it was moving pretty fast ;D).
Just got back from the EAA Airventrure and got some cool video and pictures of the F22 Raptor. I'll try to post it up later.
Ride safe,
Ryan

Re: Hello from America's Dairyland...
Speaking of warm, thursday evenings, I'll be going up to Royal Oak this thursday with weather permitting.
I leave work at 7:30 and will probably be up there approx. 8ish. I'll try and get some other ducs up there too.

Re: Hello from America's Dairyland...
yoda, congrats on the move. I had an x live about a mile away from the EAA show airport. Last time I was their, (1997?) I watched the airshow from her back yard. Good country up their! Oshkosh is laid back and kinda cool in a mayberry kinda way! Lots of hog riders in WI, I wonder why? Give a thumbs up to the Oshkosh truck plant for me, The VP is a great guy!
take care
BV

Funny you should say that....that's where I'm working. [thumbsup]
I'm working in North Plant right now (I'll be going back and forth between North and South eventually) doing Tooling Design.
We make some pretty cool stuff: click here

Re: Hello from America's Dairyland...
Good to hear you landed somewhere other than the auto industry. Hopefully this will lead to a long and fruitful career. Hope all is well and you enjoy the new town.
Any sighting of other monsters in the area? Maybe post up something in the general forum to search out others nearby.
Be sure to let us know when you are planning on being in town, I'll buy the first round. [thumbsup]
Erik

Re: Hello from America's Dairyland...
Sorry to hear that you left, but life's new experiences can lead you anywhere. I hope you like it out there and meet some cool peeps. You know, maybe it would be a good ride up there... How far from Detroit is it?
