Default 1098- cold feet

I have a dilemna. I have a 1098 on order, but now I'm wondering if it's going to be be a good investment. I heard the 1198 was in the works. Of course being a tech myself and witnessing first hand the "new model bugs", should I wait til next year ?
I heard it's going to be more $$ in '08...It's supposed to be in at the end of the month. I want to hear ALL the inputs from you guys, pros and cons. Let me have it! -Harry

A good investment? I don't know if any bike should be purchased for investment purposes. There will ALWAYS be something better on the horizon. Everything I've heard and read says next years bike will cost more, about another $2k. Will another 100cc's really make that big of a difference? And from what i've heard, the 1198 will be a "R" model, so that's going to cost $25k+

+1 Keet, there will always be a next year-new model. I personal think buying a bike for investment isn't wise. You should buy a bike because you love it ! That will be your payoff.

I'm with Keith and Chris. Go for it and enjoy yourself now. No sense always waiting for the next big thing.

The 1098 is an awesome bike, if I could afford it, there would be one in my garage right now. I agree with everyone else, there is always going to be something better coming out. I say go for it!

Go for it! All play things are poor investments anyway, as noted above.

I'm not sure where you ordered yours through, but a fellow clubbie in Ducs Unlimited just picked up his 1098 from Rosenau on Friday. http://www.ducsunlimited.com/phpBB2/...pic.php?t=5564
