Sandblast help if needed
I'm just throwin' out there the offer for help in sandblasting parts if needed. My partner owns Harry ans Sons Auto parts/salvage. The shop has a beautiful sandblast cabinet that I always use and if anybody has parts that need blasting, let me know. I've used this for my own rearsets and other parts that I've painted black. I'm not selling work, but just lending a hand to my fellow members for free.
You can call me @ 586-524-5430 anytime up til 9pm everday. -Harry
P.S. Ryan, I know you're thinking of powdercoating the belt covers, but just a quick rough up , primer, some paint, and you can do it yourself

Re: Sandblast help if needed
Did I say powedercoating? I was planning on painting them, oops, I must have not been paying attention when I said/typed that. I was thinking about powdercoating my rearsets at one time, but have decided on paint.
I was thinking about powdercoating the wheels on my wife's Ninja 250.

Re: Sandblast help if needed
I would try some clear coat afterwards. I didn't clear my rearsets and they get scuffed easily (from taking feet on/off pegs). not all the way thru paint though.

Re: Sandblast help if needed
Do you guys know of a place, in the tri-county area, that does podercoating or ceramic coating. I would like to get my forks colored black.
Thanks,

Re: Sandblast help if needed
Hey, do you think you could fit a '75 Honda CB 750 frame in his cabinet? I need to sandblast one of those.

Re: Sandblast help if needed
sorry J. , the cabinet isn't that big. I do have a handheld blaster (small gravity fed) and you're welcome to use it.- Harry

Re: Sandblast help if needed
just bought it last night and pc the small brackets for my brake and clutch masters and the bracket that mounts to my damper. it came out sweeeeet [thumbsup]. the signal red (crafstman brand) matches to a tee. I'm prolly going to take it back today because I saw on ebay the same shite for 1/2 what I paid for it (I paid 230.00 all together w/ pc powder). I bought the sears #17288 . airless gun. I've used the air comp type before , which is cheaper by all means, but it's hard to keep the moisture separated from the lines unless you have an expensive water separator. -MM

Re: Sandblast help if needed
Buy now, e-Bay later and return . That's the only way. Glad to hear it worked out. I was thinking of picking one up myself.
