Default Golfers?

I was just curious if any of the local guys golf. I've been golfing since I was 7 yrs old. My dad was a golf fanatic, he golfed 2-3 times a week, so I learned to golf at an early age. I don't usually get out that often (I'm usually spending time with the Duc), but I enjoy a round now and again.

If so, maybe we could get together a play this spring/summer.

Once you start playing, its almost as addictive as modding your Monster, but much more frustrating...and can get almost as expensive. ;D

My wife started playing recently and she enjoys playing nine holes every now and again.

I golfed a few years ago, didn't golf last year at all (thanks to the love affair with my monster) and definitely want to hit the links this spring/summer. There are a lot of nice courses in Oakland County, but really difficult greens/fairways.

When I was a bit younger I used to caddy up at Oakland Hills Country Club. Also am a very good friend of the course manager at Rouge Park.

I went to the U.S. Open at Oakland Hills. The course was amazing. I would love to be able to play there one day.

I went to San Diego last April and played La Costa (that's where they play the Accenture World Match Play Championships) about 2-3 weeks after the tour played there. The rough was so deep that if you hit ball off of the fairway, you'd be lucky to find it.

The courses out in Romeo/Washington are pretty amazing. Copper Hills is my favorite course in SE Michigan. Most of the courses that I have played in Oakland county where in the Rochester area.

I too have been golfing since I was 6 years old and I must say that I have taken a bit of a break since buying my bike. I still play to a 5 handicap, so things haven't gone too far down hill. It is the greatest game in the world for me. I feel so peaceful when I am out on the course by myself. There is no feeling like it. If you guys need any tips, please PM me and I will try to figure out your swing problem. I am also a member on 3 other golf forums, so I won't just blow smoke. Laters

phishhead,

I see that your profile says that you're from Pensacola, FL. My wife's sister and her husband live in the Pensacola area. He says that you guys have some pretty nice courses right around there. If I'm ever down that way, I'll shoot you a PM and maybe we could go out for a round.

I golf in a league at work, and I'm always interested in getting an extra round in on the weekend. I'm sure we could get a foursome together.

Anytime!!!! I am usually playing at Lost Key Golf Course. Ask them about that one. It is one of the most beautiful layouts in the area. Pretty cheap also.
