796 wont start in gear when cold

So I'm trying to track down my problem. When the bike is cold it wont start while in gear. (Will start in neutral then can be put in gear just fine)

When the bike warmed up (after about an hour of riding) it would start in gear. The only thing I've done with the clutch area lately is remove the slave cylinder from its mount to replace my front sprocket.

I'm open to ideas as to why this is happening / how to fix it.

just an update, went out and did the following

Cleaned and tightened side stand sensor

made sure clutch sensor was engaging

bled clutch and made sure there was enough fluid

I'm stumped an open to options

Figured out the problem. There is a plug behind the headlight that the clutch switch runs into. It got partially unplugged. Pushed it back together and everything functions like normal now.
