Default SpeedyMoto Slider for 2009 696

I tapped the replacement engine stud through from the right side of the bike and just before it cleared the left side frame it pushed the original stud out and the replacement stud is now misaligned by a fraction. It's enough to prevent the stud from coming through. I tried jacking the engine, lifting the rear suspension, compressing the rear suspension and having someone sit on the bike. I can't get the engine or frame to rotate at all so I can't get the stud through. I am reluctant to really hammer it home for fear of damaging the threads on the end. Any suggestions?
