To do it properly, you need a "C" spanner.
The chain tension is adjusted by turning the "eccentric" within the swingarm one way or another.
First you loosen the two pinch bolts at the rear end of the swingarm - then you use the c spanner to grip the "hub" of the rear wheel eccentric and rotate it within the swingarm.
Once the required tension is achieved, re-tighten the pinchbolts, test again and you're done.
Apparently you can "tap" the hub thing around using a screwdriver or something and a hammer - but you risk damage this way in the case that something slips up.
