Default 8/22 MN-MSTA Ride: Same Old Same Old, Nothing But Twisties

Ride Organizer: Don Christenson with support from Tony Kellen, Ray Kang, Greg Yager

Start: Prescott, WI Freedom Gas Station - Kickstands up at 9:30AM
End: Hastings, MN Dairy Queen
Distance ~250 mi.

A rare opportunity to go on a ride setup by a guy who has forgotten more about Wisconsin Alphabet routes, than most people with more than a decade of riding the Alphabets ever knew.

The route will be available by Friday.

Riders need to bring something to carry a route sheet so they can follow the route and ride independently. If you don't have a tank bag, many have just taped the route sheet to their gas tank in the past.

Maintain 2+ seconds of spacing between riders.

No triple digits.

Ride The Pace

We expect there to be enough turnout that the ride will probably be broken into at least 3 groups. The ride pace of the lead group will likely by 2x+ marked speed in turns. The other two groups will be at an equivalent or somewhat slower pace, depending on who shows up.

Default 37 Riders Showed Up and My 916 Was the Only Duc.

We ran 3 groups at different paces and a sweep rider to make sure no one got left behind. Two minor crashes by new riders who were directly advised to not come due to how challenging the route was.

Next MSTA ride is the Rockton BBQ Reprise ride on 8/30. I'll be organizing this ride. The Mindoro Cut and Wildcat Mountain will be on the route. This ride will definitely not be appropriate for newer riders. More information on this ride will be posted Monday.

Next MSTA event is our monthly gathering, 8/26, Last Wednesdays, at the Galaxy Drive In, in St. Louis Park from 4:30 till ????

Two more rides scheduled for September. Click here to see the MSTA ride/event calendar for the rest of the year.

Get those Ducs out and ride them.
