If it's just a commuter, and part time cruiser, then don't worry about buying sport tires. Seriously, just get get cheaper touring tires and don't worry about brand. Sport tires are for harder riding and are softer to give more grip. If you aren't riding hard, then you want to get more miles out of your tires so get some touring tires.

I put conti road attacks on my bike last year late and they seem to be wearing very even ( after 2000 mi ) and still were realtively cheap. I paid $340.00 for the tires and mounting and balancing at Delano. I am a student also and would highley reccomend these tires for the life you get for your money.

I put on Avon Vipers last year and couldn't be happier. The ride comfort and stickiness is awesome.

I have a set of pilot power take offs that did 2 track days and less than 1000 street miles. Set only, for cheep. They would work fine for the street. The rear is a 180 and the fron is a 120. I'm not sure what size you are looking for for your bike. PM me if you are intrested and I'll give you a price.-geoff
