Default Track Monster build?!

Hello all!

My bud and I were discussing finding a salvage monster to build up as a track bike... any suggestions as to model, engine, track ready accessories? I have never done this before but am really interested so that I don't have to risk my daily rider!

Default Re: Track Monster build?!

Lucky for you that there are many experts locally on this very subject. Thanks to the rules of the Central Roadrace Association, the 620 fits into a racing class as the best bike to have. Therefore, several people locally race these.

Here's mine http://www.ducatimonster.org/feature...red_feb06.html
I'd be happy to share details with you on what you need to get a Monster track worthy. But first, you need to determine the purpose of your project. Is it to race, or just trackdays? The reason being that the 620, and now the 900, are going to be your only competitive bikes because of the race class that they fit into. So, if it's trackdays only, it doesn't matter what platform you start with.
Second, a Supersport will take less work to get track ready so you might want to consider that too.

So, what's the plan for usage?
