The Suburban Machinery bars are popular:

I've never seen 'em firsthand, but they might work for you. You might need to alter them to accommodate controls for a pre-2003 Monster, though...

I've been thinking about getting those suburbanmachinery bars for a while. Has anyone seen them first hand, or better yet sat on a bike that had them?

I think Millertime has a set of Suburban machinery bars on his m750. You should send him a pm. I sat on his bike last summer but I honestly don't remember if I liked them or not.
