Default Bultaco anyone?

Got both the Pusang and Metralla done... the Met won the Concours trophy in Texas at a big vintage show and another best in show last week... here's some pics of the Pursang. Will take some of the Metralla next month, it's gonna be at the International Motorcycle Show. (man, they get to see the new bikes EARLY down there!, No Fair!)

I love those old Bultacos. Just plain beautiful bikes... very impressive work on the restorations.

I raced against a few guys on Pursangs (set up for motocross) back in the day ('71-'74 :P)... they were fast as hell but the guys riding them were not so much. They often would beat my Husky to the first corner... in fact that Pursang brings up vivid memories... I blame my only broken bones on a guy on a Pursang in the first corner at what is now the Millville MX track. He was ahead of me, slowed down WAY too much when crossing to the big berm on the outside (looked like he hit his brakes!) and I clipped his back wheel trying to cut him on the inside. Went down in front of the other 40 or so bikes... not so good. Broken collar bone.

The Sherpas and Alpinas were very cool too.

Beautiful restoration on the Metralla - always one of my dream bikes. I've still got the '67 issue of CW with the road test of this model, and the IOM racer.

The Metralla is my favorite bike! I wish I would have seen it in person before I left KC :-\
