I received a letter from the state saying that my bike needs to be inspected before the title can be transfered to me. I was expecting it though since it had a salvaged title. So, off I ride into the thunderstorm this morning. Hopefully it clears up by this afternoon, the inspection is at 3:30 in St Paul.

The inspection was a joke. They wrote down the frame and engine numbers and took my receipts and records from my replacement parts and sent me on my way. I asked the crabby guy doing the inspection how it looked and he replied "we're just looking for stolen parts, quality is up to you".

I found that I really don't enjoy riding in that area during heavy traffic. The oil temp was up in the 270's during stop and go on 94 and the engine would cough every now and then when I would take off. It went back to normal once I got moving again though. It was still a good day for a ride even with the wind, traffic, and rain in the morning. I put on close to 180 miles.

I'd like to see the bike in person some time. There is at least one more Italian Night that could ride-to-able.

When is the Italian Night? I have classes on monday and wednesday evenings. If it's any other night I can make it.

It's always the first Monday of the month so I guess you're kinda SOL.

Seems like there are enough of us out in the NW quadrant to initiate a "Cooked Night of the Cheese NW" conference once before the snow flies.
