Re: M695
If you are just buying the bike, then either local dealer is a good choice just go to the one that has the best price Simple.
Dealerships are excellent places to buy new motorcycles, They have them. If you have more than one that sell the same model and brand just call up tell them what you want, and that you are writing the check as you speak and you need the out the door price. Who ever can give you the lower number OTD gets the sale.
Now when you are talking about Accessories, Service, General Knowledge of product, or anything beyond the Monkey Level of Skill, then you have to be much pickier consumer when it comes to dealerships. If you are just buying a bike that is easy.
I think folkes need to adjust their perception of what is a reasonable expectaion of the dealership.
My expectation of all dealerships is that they will have the bike I want to purchase and they will pu tin any waranty claims that my come up during the waranty period. Anything beyond those two things that I get or deal with at the dealership is a Bonus and I do not expect it to be good. If I am unable to accomplish a certain service or task, there are lots of options in teh Twin Cities (Especially for Ducatis). When you have 3 of the Top 5 Ducati Tuners in the country Local to you, its a good thing.
Enjoy your new ride and don't forget to purcahse good riding gear, and take some advanced riding classes
