Notte Italiana
NOTTE ITALIANA FINALLY HAS A HOME
I am pleased to announce that we have moved to the 331 club in NE Minneapolis. See attached flyer for address.
Now a word on why I chose this venue. I was approached by CT in January with the idea. He told me that the owner was open to the idea and that he and I should talk. I looked the place over and after sampling both the food and the wine, I knew that it would work. The 331 is a bar/club that has a small menu along with a large selection of libations. The place is large and has outdoor seating on the side of the building. They also have a very large parking lot in which to accommodate bikes. Not to mention that Monday nights are not that busy.
I then talked to the owner and he was very interested in bringing a motorcycle event to his establishment. He likes the idea of a motorcycle night that is an alternative to Dulano's. He has even suggested things that might make the night even more successful. I have changed the time a bit from 7-? to 6:30 - 9 pm. I did this because the 331 club has bands that play after 9pm. Not that folks couldn't stay. In fact the band that plays Mondays are Motorcycle riders as well. I also changed the time because most people didn't stay that long at Betty's anyway. As for Coffee, the 331 club DOES NOT have an Espresso machine but they did tell me that they serve BNW FAIR TRADE COFFEE. As far as food goes they do have this sandwich called "the big Melty" which contains all the cheese that is fit to eat in one sandwich, along with the traditional bar food items like french fries.
I hope that everyone can come down to the first Monday, May 7th. I would also like to discuss something on May 7th that as been in development for the local scene, a Ducati Owners Club for Minnesota.
Thank you for your input and your patience, and I look forward to seeing everyone as we develop a community that we ALL deserve.
