Default Minnesota Monster Sightings

Hey all

I was coming back from Danbury, WI today, and I saw a couple of Ducs on the road. I know I spot a Monster every now and then on the highway (other than my own) so I thought I'd start this thread and see where we "see" each other around MN.

The first Duc I saw today was heading eastbound on MN-48, about 5 miles east of Grand Casino Hinckley. I was westbound, so I only had the briefest of looks at the bike, but it appeared to be a liquid-cooled Monster, and the rider had a gray/black jacket.

The second Duc I saw today was a classic--it appeared to be a 70's vintage 750GT. Riding two-up, the red 750GT was heading southbound on I-35 this afternoon at about 3pm. I followed (not stalked, followed [laugh]) the GT 'til they bailed off the freeway at the Harris exit near North Branch.

Anybody know who was riding either of these Ducs? ;D It was a nice (if hot) day to be riding. [thumbsup]

Anybody else got Monster sightings to share?

We did 450 miles yesterday between Redwing and Lacrosse and I saw ONE Duc, only a handfull of sportbikes and eleventy billion Hardleys. (or pseudo Hardleys, hard to tell these days)

Didn't get a good look at the Duc. It was either a 749 or 999... Fountain City, WI about 1:30 p.m.

It wasn't hot at 5:30 a.m. ;D

At about 5pm today, I spotted an unknown Monster a block away from my house in Mahtomedi! I don't see many other Monsters in this corner of town, much less a Monster in my neighborhood!

It was a Monster Dark, and was probably a 620. The rider was wearing a gray and black jacket with a bright yellow helmet.

Sound familiar to anyone?

I saw an 'uknown' (at least to me) Monster yesterday ... looked like a female on a black 620 or maybe a 695 or 900 (didn't get a good look) with a matte black helmet riding North on Lyndale near Franklin. I tried to wave but was too busy with traffic.

you out there ? we need to get all of these monster riders together at Italian Night at Betty's Bike's and Buns two Mondays from now, August 10th.

Isn't it on the 7th? I'm going to be up north that whole week.

~5:20ish today a nice sounding monster came up behind me on 47 and turned right just as I noticed them.

Was it any of you? if so, what pipes do you have on it. I hate it how it is so hard to tell what your bike really sounds like when your on it. --still won't make me let others ride it though. ;D

anyway it looked to be black with a red frame, had front windscreen, thats about all i saw. sounded great though.

Hey how long have you all been around? I've had a monster since last April and just now have found this. Do you all ever get together? I'd like to hear different pipes live before I know which ones I'd like to go with. My Duc is all stock right now.

I saw a black monster like the one I rode last year in the White Bear Lake area. Then I saw one early on a weekday morning in downtown minneapolis. Both times we acknowledged each other. But recently I had a Monster sighting while on my Monster and the rider didn't even give me a glance. Here's the situation: 35W southbound in Minneapolis was closed due to bridge cleaning so traffic was detoured on 280. Well there just happened to be an accident on 280 when I was driving through so the traffic was very slow, 1st gear slow. There were some bikers behind me but they never came up along side me or passed me. Once the traffic started picking up here a Monster cruises right past me and the rider never gave me even a glance. Certianly he/she knew I was on a Monster since it's pretty distinct looking even from the back. I don't get it... I was a bit offended. I understand when Harley riders don't wave but a fellow Monster rider.... come on... where's the love?
