Default Ducati day in the Mountains

So I washed and waxed the black Monster and went for a little ride down corkscrew Hwy 88 between Trade, TN and Jefferson, NC. But this ride was different from all the others in that in fairly quick succession, I saw a group of four and then 3 Ducati, leaning through the curves. And in the last one was what looked like a new Desmo. But we were both getting on it and I can't be sure. It took me a minute or two to abandon my ride and turning around, went in chase mode. It was then that my quazi-slick back tire reminded me that it was long overdue for a replacement, so I backed off. They got away.
So I took a right over Big Laural to twist the back way into Mountain City, TN to see if the Suzuki shop had any Metzlers. They did but couldn't break away from selling 4-wheelers to 300lb. 'baccer-chewers' to put it on, so I pulled back onto 421 headed south towards Boone. And fell in behind a bright yellow 999R. I pulled along side and he favored me with a smirk from within his matching yellow helmet and dove into the parking lot of the Food Lion.
So that was what.....seven or eight Ducati sightings in one day! Wonder if they'll be back out tomorrow............

Ya. The US.DESMO club had a meet. we had a turnout of around 40-45 people. Lunch was planed at the turn around. (5 miles before "the Devils playground") its T.N.s Deals Gap. anyway I counted 6 cops on the playground and 9 total. and the shocking part is IDK why but NO one wanted to even go down that road! lol.

But it was fun and Ill do it agen.

oh and I did get pulled too. but the cop said he just wanted to look at / admire. my Duc. lol. ( Last time a cop tried to grab me and pull me off my bike WHILE I WAS STILL RIDING) ... Ducatis do have there advantage.
