Default My Other Motoring Toy

The first car I owned was a '74 VW Beetle Convertible. It was in really good shape when I bought it. Over the years, it deteriorated and ended up being garaged as undrivable. The intention was to restore it myself. I never really made any progress. Mostly due to space and time. This summer I towed it to an air-cooled VW shop that did restoration work. I got it back over the Christmas break. They did a wonderful job. Other than swapping the front drums for disks, it's completely stock. I can't wait for nicer weather to put the top down.

Ken

It's not much better with the top up. There's no heat. ;D

Whoa, Ken. That looks great! I'm guessing you're pleased with the results, eh?

When do we get to see it in person?

Viewings are available upon request. ;D

Actually, just keep your eyes peeled. I am using it as my daily driver. Even though it's a classic, it's still a Bug. Simple, honest transportation. Powered by, effectively, 4 Briggs&Stratons stuck together.
