Default Finally!!

This morning, I received an email message from the Iron Butt Association:

"Dear David Shultz:
You are receiving this e-mail because of your application for a ride
certification. This note is to let you know that your ride has been
approved and although your ride documents may take a few more weeks to
arrive, your membership has also been approved and entered into the
Iron Butt Association's member database.

Welcome to the Iron Butt Association!"

YAY!!

Back in May, I completed the Saddle Sore 1000 (at least 1000 miles within 24 hrs.) and the Bun Burner 1500 (at least 1500 miles within 36 hrs.) on my Bandit during my ride home from Boulder, Colorado. I know that riding distance doesn't require much skill, but I really like it.

Now if I can muster the cash/balls to track my Monster, I'll really be happy. [thumbsup]

I road 180 miles on the monster today. That's enough for me.

Congrats on having buns of magnetite.

the most I have done on the monster is 280 miles down to Charleston, SC then the same back to Raleigh the next morning. It wasn't like sitting on a lazy boy, but I'd do it again.

Jobu and I did DC in one day (yes, on two bikes you fuckers) and I think he'd agree with me that once was enough.

Clip-ons and no wind protection for 500 miles is not enjoyable in my book.

350 in a day is my limit.

Good on ya if you can take it. Obviously, you can.
