Default More bad news -- be careful out there!

Yesterday while riding with me, but on her bike, Donna (my girlfriend) hit a late model sedan that pulled in front of her. We were on 64 business travelling west @ 45mph toward downtown Pittsboro. Donna was in front of me, so I got a view of the entire accident -- a visual that I can't get out of my head.

Donna's bike exploded (not literally) and she was thrown about 30 feet -- both her legs broken in a few places, but she's alive. Wow, what a tough woman!

The surgeons at UNC finished pinning her legs together last night sometime around midnight. I'm headed back over to Pittsboro this morning to gather some of her belongings, and then over to the hospital.

I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news again, but I had to tell someone.

Thanks guys.

Wow, Dave...sorry again! Can't imagine going through that. Hopefully we can all keep stories like this in the back of our minds when we're out on the roads.

Glad to hear it wasn't any worse. My best to you and Donna...here's to a speedy recovery!

Sorry to hear this, Dave. Please pass along our best wishes for a speedy recovery. 2 broken legs!?! How is she doing?

What can I / we do to help out? Anything you two need, you just have to ask.

Da*n cagers. Do everything in the cockpit except what they're supposed to be doing.

Give her my best. If there's anything we can do, let us know.

Wow, sorry to hear about that Dave but I'm glad she's going to be alright. Think she'll be riding again after her recovery? I know she just bought that bike. Some people just won't get back on a bike after a serious accident. I hope she's one that will. My best to you both.
