Default What it's all about

The past few days have been difficult in the M-RoC family, and I wanted to take a moment and remember what it's all about. At our last M-RoC night which most of you did not attend, Dave told me that he was going to Charleston with a lifelong friend of his. I told him how jealous I was and he invited me along. After bagging out of several meetings and a couple classes I was in for the trip.

I was taking the Monster (the longest trip for it so far) Dave took the Bandito (I don't care what you say about his extended swing arm the bike is awesome, if not only for the fact that he carried my bags for me!) and Mike took his '88 BMW K75. Mike was on a cross country trip and I was glad that I could tag along with him. He has lots of miles on two wheels!

Neither Mike or Dave have been to Charleston, SC so we took the fastest way down, I40 to I95 to I26. From there I took them down the Ashley River road, its not the twistiest but its has a beauty all its own. Dave was good enough to take a few photos while we where riding.

We checked in to a hotel and headed downtown. We had a good night of drinking and just hanging out. I took them to my favorite roof top bar, the Library. The waitresses are always nice! The next morning we had a good breakfast and headed our separate ways. Mike was on his way to New Mexico and Dave and I had to get back to Raleiwood.

Its times like these that reminds me of what like is all about. Its about good friends, good times and good rides! Let's all keep safe and remember what it's all about.

David

Just like a squid on a Suzuki to take pictures while he is riding. [cheeky]

Looks like a nice trip. I love Charleston, awesome city.

Way to many highway miles on the Duc though. I rode to DC and back and that was way to far. Might not be as bad now with the Sargent seat, but I doubt it.
