Default Ride on Chris...

Some of you knew my buddy Chris. He was an avid motorcyclist: owned a beautiful Ducati 998 and a GSXR-750 (which he raced). But most importantly, he was an all-around nice guy.

Chris was killed on Tuesday when a car turned in front of him while he was riding the Duc.

My condolences to his fiancee.

Ride on Chris.

holy shit ... this has never happened to someone i actually knew (until now). you read about it and you sympathize, but it hits harder when you know the person, you've met his fiance, you've helped him prep his new track bike, etc...

he was a really good guy.

:'(

very sorry to hear that pompetta. I didn't know your friend but he sounds like a great guy. I lost a close friend(neighbor) of mine about a year and a half ago. That was my 1st and only, and hopefully last friend I've ever lost on 2 wheels. :'( It's a hard thing to go thru indeed, just take your time and heal the hurt however you need to. I actually witnessed my friend lose his life, and I seriously considered giving up the sport. But then things changed when his wife asked me to round up the guys and ride to the funeral and we carried his casket thru our bikes.

Later that year, I organized a benefit ride for the family. 1st time ever doing anything like that, and I must say, it definitely helped me with the healing process. Couple of guys from here even came, Uro did all of the photography work, and Fiber(I think, his name is Alan) showed up to support the cause. [thumbsup] If there's anything I can do, please let me know. And please pass on my condolences to the family.

Ride on Chris, ride on!

Brad

Sorry to hear about that, Dave. Maybe we should all get together for a beer or 12.

I read these threads in General and always feel sad but never know what to say. I'm do not think that I ever met Chris, but simply knowing so many people that knew him adds an order of magnitude to the mournful pangs that accompany such tragic news about a fellow rider. Obviously my deepest condolences go out to his family, friends, and fiancee.

Ride on indeed....
