Love the mountains, but the concrete anti-drifter centerline markers sure keep you pushing only 7/10 which is a real shame the roads are awesome.Originally from the Northern Auckland Area, Hibiscus Coast.

yeh would have to agree there. I spent a few years in western aus and most of the roads i traveled on were LONG and straight. Still a great place though hope to go back for a holiday soon
Great to see another Kiwi on board. Im always a bit envious of the south island crew you seem to have more organised bikers as far as get togethers and rides.Less coppers on those fast scenic south island roads . Nothing wrong with starting on a 400 ,my first bike was a step thru mountain goat on the farm .I think it was a 200cc bit like an ag100 . And dad would boot my bum if he caught me riding it
yeah the South Islands got some magic roads alright. Pity I've got nothing to ride on them. I used to love doing epic day trips on my old FZR1000. Maybe one day I'll get back out there again!
We might have the roads but you guys seem to get the better weather for getting out to ride.Mind you we had a good couple of weeks of great weather not long ago and boy did everyone make the most of it I've seen more bikes out this summer on the coast than in a long time.
