cycleoptions.com have the 23-24 of September booked and if you pay by September 1st it is only $215 for both! I did the spring track weekend with them earlier this year in the pouring rain and it was tons of fun, great guys.
Also Commonwealth Ducati of Louisville has October 22 reserved. They are a fantastic group of absolute enthusiasts. About a month ago 7 of us drove down to Talladega GP in Alabama for a Sunday and Monday track event. Only 12 the first day and 7 the second made for no groups just go out and ride as much as you want. Simply amazing, I was so tired it was ridiculous. We did hundreds of miles! Ed (one of the owners of commonwealth) and I had our KTM motards down there which was great as it is a small track.
I hope to see some of you at these days. I'll be at all of them. I just bought a 748RS so I will probably take it for these last few days of the year.
Ed and the Commonwealth team are a great bunch. I bought my Multi off of them and they have treated me very well. They mentioned the track day to me while I was there. I have never done one but find the idea interesting.

Shep
You should come out. Since we both live in Bloomington we could go up together. The multi can go FAST at the track!
Nice pics* [clap] I would love to do some track. But I lack the gear and experience.
After I get some pants and boots I'll have TD show me the ropes.*
Gear is one thing, but experience! They have a novice group which is almost always first time track riders. In that group there will be a mixture of control riders whom are expert riders who watch you, show you the lines, and meet with you after each track session to discuss ways to improve. Also in the novice group there is no inside passing only outside, and it is discouraged just because everybody in that group is still getting used to the fact that there are people all around them etc....
You will learn more in track riding one day with instructors then you have learned on your own so far in your motorcycle riding career. They teach you proper technique! At least that is how it worked for me.
man, this sucks !! I got enough gear to ride, but I sure as hell don't wanna ride 3+ hours to a track and have to ride back home. Don't have a trailer or truck either, dammit !!!

Re: Putnam Park June 10, 2007 - You're all invited!
$175 that seems a bit extreme for putnam, I'm going down this weekend for $290 for TWO days. for that matter if I'm going to spend $175 for a track day i had better just put in the extra $20 for a day at Mid-Ohio...... sorry just had to get that off my chest....

Re: Putnam Park June 10, 2007 - You're all invited!
That's fine, but $175 is $20 more than what STT and $25 more than NESBA charge. But we don't charge a membership fee STT ($35) and ($75) NESBA so we are actually $15 cheaper than STT and $50 cheaper than NESBA so I'm not sure why you think we are overpriced?
In addition we have smaller groups than anyone. Like 10-15 less per session. Less people, less red flags = more track. In the last couple years we've only had to stop sessions about 3 times. If you go to these larger events I've had them stop sessions 3 times just in the morning and only got about 40 miles of riding in. This is why I don't ride with any other groups anymore on the track. You pay a bunch of money only to have others go down due to overcrowding and you don't get hardly any track time.
At other groups events I'm lucky to get 125 miles generally. At our events I'll put in 225+ easily. It's that simple.
