The S4RS I tuned in the dyno is still by far the most powerful 998/999 bike at 135hp and 106nm tq, typical 998S/999S full termi is 127hp and 99nm, SAE corrected numbers.
That monster was a blast to ride!

Let me just say, I have ridden both, and the S4R is a much faster bike. Plus it probably will only gain in value as it's the last of the real monsters. The 05 is the last of the metal tanks. Plus with the $$$ you save, you can get a few mods that will take you into the 125 to 140 hp range. The 1100 is a nice bike, but it's no S4R or S4RS. Not even close. Well at least in IMHO.

In fact, having just been through the process os searching and choosing a bike, not only within the universe of monsters our ducatis but what is available in the market in general, I would venture to say the s4r, and even more the s4rs, are probably one of the best options in the market of street bikes at the moment. They have got the looks, can commute, and have superbike lineage and performance. I am positive they will become a classic...

S4R and S4RS =130Hp The 'S' has ohlins suspension. Get all the best in the S4RS. Its sure to be a classic.
Although they need a few things to complete the bike, dont hesitate.

Added;
Rizoma mirrors
Carbon sliders
Carbon Hugger
Radiator guards
Tuned suspension.
No-Chop Tail Tidy.
