Hi
I was the one helping the creator of Ducatidiag to try and get his product working on the Siemens system. if you need any help drop me a line. Despite having the cables it was not possible to strike up coms with the ECU. It is CanBus but will not respond to AT commands. Anyhow I have all the test paper work somewhere what we did. Also there should be all my findings on the Ducatidiag website in English

Where did you plug you CAN bus wires?
The usual place where you would plug the Fiat OBD2 cable is no more. The DDA port carries the CAN Hi/Lo signal now.

Is this aimed at me? Only if you had read the post you have linked to you will find I already had worked out the location of the Data/ODB port and which wire carried CanHi and Low. I made my own cables and adapter for the ELM, I had it running over bluetooth, worked fine on cars but not this. I used an Elm327 and the results are all there on the ducatidiag site.
I think its great your having a go at it and wish you luck, really I do hope you can sort it. No matter what I did with the ELM I could not get it to talk.

Did you try to set the protocol directly to 6 or 7?
It seems, according to fluke reads, that the protocol is a 500Kbps one.
Another thing could be the ELM327, whose market is flooded with Chinese broken versions nowadays.
Did you try with another OBD2 scan tool?

Yes I specified 6,7,8,9
After I set the protocol I Issued 81 and the results are as below
SP9 = CAN ERROR
SP8 = CAN ERROR
SP7 = No Data
SP6 = No Data

My ELM327 is a Made in China part, I thought they all were can't seem to find one that is made anywhere else. Crack open a domestic branded one and hey presto "Made in China"
Anyhow I have used it many times on lots of cars no problem with many different programs. I will say as I did mention on the Ducatidiag site it is V1.0 so I WILL be missing some of the functions of the V1.4 but I would have thought at least a handshake would have made it. Anyhow now that you have revived the topic, I'll invest in another version and give it try with the loom I made up for the last tests.

Default Service manual

I called the dealer and they have to get the part number from their rep. It's 60 bucks and on a cd full of pdf's . It's what their techs use. I should get it in about 5 days

Check Ducati Omaha you might be able to find the part number yourself.
