Default HELMETS ARE STUPID.

Yep, hemet's are stupid. They look rediculous. They mess up your hair. Other people can't see how cool you are.

They should post these things in dealerships. But that may cause someone to decide not to buy a bike. Sad.

Where are these found? Magazines? News Papers? Hospitals?

Hey Desmo,
I couldn't see who the sponsor of these ads was. I'd like additional info if you have it. We went to a m/c rally recently and at my guesstimate only 3-5% of the Harley and cruiser guys wore helmets. ABATE had a booth with a big banner that shouted "HELMET FREE THANKS TO ABATE" I wanted to tell them that they were contributing to the deaths of their membership, but I figured I would just get a cussing so I just left. As it were , to quote Sean Connery in The Last Crusade, we were "pilgrims in an unholy land".
I do see pictures of people with helmets on their various state websites, but their main goal remains the repeal of all helmet laws nationwide. While I don't believe its government's job to protect us from ourselves, I do believe we should absolutely promote the voluntary use of at least a DOT-approved helmet. Apparently, ABATE gets all their money from the "wind in your hair.. bugs in your teeth" crowd.

Sorry, buddy, I snagged 'em from another forum. I'll do some checking to see if I can learn anything for you.

ABATE are a bunch of retards. I got into an argument with a few of them at a booth at bike week. I asked if they were doing anything to help legalize lanesplitting in VA and the woman looked at me like I had three heads.... "Lanesplitting is dangerous"... I said "And riding a motorcycle without a helmet isn't?" Her reply? "No, it isn't dangerous. Why would anyone want to lanesplit?" We went back and forth for awhile. I got frustrated and walked away.
