Re: Renting Ducati motorcycles
Sorry, I couldnt figure out how to make a table on here, so I just took a screen grab of the Excel spreadsheet.
Prices are in Euros. If you are a member of a registered officially sanctioned-by-the-factory ducati owners club, you will receive a %15 discount. Michael Paratore (organizer of the Presidents Club Meeting) gave me this info. His e-mail is Michael.Paratore@ducati.com. Luggage (i.e. hard bags) for the ST2/ST4 is free with the rental. Don't know if it would be free for the Monster, but I would imagine so.
You have to open this attachment up to be able to view it clearly.

Re: Renting Ducati motorcycles
I'm going in 2007. My room mate and I are flying to Bologna, renting the bikes, riding to the Isle of Man to watch the 50th anniversiary TT race, then back again. 2.5 - 3 weeks. When are you all going over?

Re: Renting Ducati motorcycles
Why would you go on vacation in Europe in August? The entire continent goes on Holiday for that month. I understand you can't get a hotel room or get into anyplace that might be considered a vacation attraction just because they are so crowded. If I manage to ever go, I'll pick any other time of the year. At least I have a friend in Turin to stay with if it came to that.

Re: Renting Ducati motorcycles
I am going to be in Budapest and Düsseldorf on business so I figured I would go down to Italy to visit some family & friends. As for the hotels, I don't have to worry about that. I have a place to stay 40 Km N.E. of Venice.
It’s not my favorite time of the year to go either but, since I'm going to be in the neighborhood...

You are correct sir. It actually is a real pain in non-tourist towns, because a lot of mom-and-pop restaraunts and stores close down for the month. Also, there are massive traffic jams, crowded beaches, and scarce hotels.

Re: Renting Ducati motorcycles
Those prices seem reasonable. I would pay more than that to rent poorly maintaned ducs in France. Does that include some sort of insurance I assume?
