Default Tailbags?

I'm shopping for a tailbag. I think I've narrowed down to these two. I'm leaning toward the Revpack Jr., as it is a bit smaller and a lot cheaper, although the Wolfman looks a bit cooler in the pic. Anyone have opinions on these or prefer a different brand? I'm looking for 3-7 day max, solo capacity, and use a medium tankbag.

I've got a standard Revpack tailbag with around 20,000 miles on it now. Holds more than the Interceptor's hard bags and is pretty much waterproof without a cover.

I highly recommend the brand for quality and cost.

I went with the RevPack Jr. After about 1000 miles, up and back to Laguna Seca, I am very pleased with it. Well made but very simple, no extra pockets or anything like that. The bottom surface was a sort of rubberized vinyl that I decided wouldn't scratch the cowl---and it didn't. The bag fit very well, attaches easily, didn't shift around at all, and really looked like it was made with the Monster in mind.

To give you an idea of capacity, I was able to put in it a windbreaker, two pair of jeans (one lined with Aramid), two nylon hiking shorts, two long-sleeved tees, two short-sleeved tees, two tank-tops, two pair socks, two underwear, tennis shoes, Teva sandals, helmet bag, shaving kit, ss coffee mug, one-cup 120v heater, tea and tea-ball, smallish lap-top computer, assorted cables and chargers, maps, notepad and pens. Ok, it was a tight fit, but the zipper closed...

I also rode with two small Chase Harper barrel bags, one on either side of the bike hanging on the grab rails. In one, I put a bike cover. In the other, all the little stuff I wanted handy: camera, cell phone, wallet, spare change, chap-stick, sunglasses. I also have a very nice Marsee tank bag, but I found I didn't need it for this trip given the space of the Revpack.

So the carbon cans really stay that cool that you can ride hundreds of miles w/ those bags resting on them like that?

Absolutely--- Thousands of miles. Heat was never a consideration. I never think about it anymore. Of course, I wouldn't put chocolate in there, but most anything else seems ok...

Look again at the stuff I put in them. The chap-stick didn't even melt, and we rode for hours through the desert:

Hey.. haven't been on the board in a while and just saw this thread. I actually have a Wolfman Luggage mini beta tailbag on order. I'll post the skinny on the bag when it arrives. Pricier than the RevPack

Can't wait. On board rain gear..what a concept!

I got one of these:

Used on one overnighter. So far, so good. I think I could do two or three nights with this and my (very small) tank bag. Any more than that and I'd add the matching saddle bags.

It's shape compliments (or maybe detracts less from) the bike's design. Quality seems very good. Rain cover works. I had the misfortune of thoroughly testing it

Received the Wolfman mini beta tailbag 2 weeks ago. The bag is of very high quality. However, the 'system' for mounting the bag was IMO overly complicated.
