Nexx Helmets
Does anyone have experience with this brand of helmet? Any comments and/or comparisons to what other brands you have worn would be welcomed.

I don't have one. But I want one. I've read their full face is one of the lightest options out there and provides a very big field of view. Nexx also includes pads to fine tune fit to your head. A nice extra.

If you do a search, you will see I asked in the gear section about the Nexx brand of helmets early in 11. I kept telling myself I was going to buy the carbon fiber helmet but plans always change. Many good replies in that thread.

Nexx helmet is pretty nice. Super lightweight and very wide eye opening port. Love their graphics as well, only thing I don't like about them is the visor change system. You have to carry a screwdriver with you at all time in order to change out the visor. Because of that, I am now looking at a AGV GP-tech instead, also very light weight with a much better visor system, only problem though, the Rossi graphics is a little loud for me, too bad AGV doesn't make a more subtle version of GP-tech

Thanks CafeRacer - the comments are pretty much consistent with what I have heard from others. No real compelling comments to not buy. Nexx has pretty good price control over their products so it looks like it's $699 for the Carbon.

My Nexx helmet is going to be a Nexx lol. But for real, everything I have read is good.
Currently using a Nolan Stoner replica a K-3 AGV for the summer. But after the power commander, ECU REFLASH, AND the 7,500 mile service I am going to save for the Nexx.

I am sure they are really good helmet. Unfortunately I wasn't able to find any testing result on SHARP's website so I don't know how many stars they got. Should be pretty good though since they passed ECE

Very True....But let me add: No enough options for visor colours. For a premium helmet I was hoping they would have the more visor options. Irridium silver or gold would be nice. Even a red tint

After your post, I just had to have a look at Marushin. We don't get those over here in the States, I wonder if they can't pass DOT regulations. The few reviews I found were not very favorable, yet you claim they are great. The reviews were generally along the line of "Get one at the shows for 100 quid and you've got an ok helmet". The complaints were mainly about the visor being poor quality and breaking easily. For the money, I'm interested in having one shipped over.
Not to derail the thread about Nexx helmets, but could you do a review of the Marushin? I decided I kinda liked the RS2 Sekando, graphics look similar to the Nexx helmet as well. I have a hard time with a lot of the current graphics from manufacturers like Shoei. They are either a solid color or just way over the top graphics. Nothing just old school cool. I really don't need mating dragons on my helmet or skulls all around. Gimme just some nice block graphics and a racing stripe please, and Marushin has a quite a few along those lines. That was why I liked the Nexx helmet, for it's simplicity.
