Helmet head
I received my new Arai Profile today. My last helmet was an Arai RX7-RR3 circa 1999. I got the Profile because of the Italy Flag motif and because the Profile is the next generation Arai Signet which was a very nice helmet. My RX7 was a very comfortable helmet, but very loud. The best Arai I've ever had was Quantum circa 1995.
I think the addition of the replaceable liner made the Profile seem almost too small. It feels like the helmet is almost too short, but I like a snug fitting helmet. Once it's broken in, I think it will be okay.
The Profile is a bit quieter than the RX7. Also the faceshield operation is quite stiff.
Overall, the quality is top-notch. Some of the latest Arai designs are too funky, but the fit and finish is still excellent.
